Get to know the process
Do I Have to make a consultation appointment prior?
No, we do a quick consultation during your initial appointment. It will only take a few minutes.
Does it hurt?
The stroke is comparable to the feeling of getting your eyebrows threaded. Everyone has different sensitivity levels, but overall the pain is very minimal. We apply a numbing topical cream before and during for maximum comfort.
What's the process?
The very first thing we do is answer any questions you have for us. Afterwards, we will sketch in your new eyebrows according to your face shape, and you have the final say, so we will adjust anything and everything until you are satisfied. Then we will start the microblading, followed by the optional second round of numbing for maximum comfort. Every client will receive an after-care bundle that is included with the package and will be walked through on how to maintain and care.
I already had microblading done prior, may I book only a touch up with Brows by Eva?
Yes! if you are looking for an annual touch up, you may book our Artist Touch up option. Please contacts us to book.
I have oily skin, would you still recommend microblading?
For combination/oily skin microblading is suitable, but is dependent on the nature of your brows as well. For extremely oily skin, we do strongly recommend ombre brows or micro-shading. If you are not sure, please feel free to email us pictures of your brows for a full analysis. In some rare cases, some may need a third session to perfect/reinforce with up-charge.
What if I want to dye my hair lighter/darker over time?
No matter what hair color transitions you are going through or plan on for the future, it's okay! We will only match your true eyebrow hairs. We advise not dyeing/tinting your brow hairs before the process as it will affect our judgement on what pigment color to create for you. Come bare-brow and beautiful as you are!
I have a scar. Can this fix it?
This is a perfect solution in many cases, the procedure is more tender than regular microblading due to the nature of scarring. Results may vary depending on age and of nature of scar.
What if I have old tattoo/microblading work?
We can still work on top of the previous work, though this is a case by case bases. Client may be subject to a color correction if previous work is too dark.
I have an important event, when is the best time to book?
The best time to book is 2-3 months prior to the event date to allow proper healing. After each session it will take approximately 4 weeks to heal. If the event timeline does not allow, we recommend booking after the event.
I have a lot of questions, should I book a consultation?
All appointments include a 20 minute consultation, we will cover all grounds and answer all questions during the time allotted. But if you are wanting more details, please book our free consultation! Due to COVID-19 all consultation will be virtual via facetime.
The day-by-day healing process
Day 1: "I love my new brows!" After your appointment, you'll be able to continue on with the rest of your day!
Day 2-4: "These are way too dark and thick." Your brows will actually get darker over this period of time, but don't freak out! They will lighten about 20-30% and have a slight shrinkage.
Day 5-8: During these days your brows may be flaking and scabbing off. Make sure to NOT pick or remove the scabs or you may inadvertently remove some of your pigment!
Day 9-10: "My brows have completely fallen off!!" Your brows will appear like they are completely gone during this time, but don't worry - they will still be there! This is why it's important to come in for your scheduled touch up.
Days 11-28: "My brows are coming back, but they are patchy" Your brows will appear to be incomplete during this part of the healing period. Most of these patches will fill in over time, but if for some reason, some of the area doesn't take in the pigment, we will fill the gap.
Day 42 (after touch up): "These are better than I could have ever imagined!" Now you are set with your dream eyebrows!
AFTER YOUR TREATMENT
•NO water, cleansers, creams, makeup or any other products on treated area for 10 days.
•4-5 hours after the procedure, clean the area with sterile water and a cotton pad, gauze or q-tip and allow to air dry.
•DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and potentially pick off pigment.
•Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 3-4 weeks after procedure.
•Avoid heavy sweating for the first 10 days.
•NO facials, botox, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
•Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.
PLEASE NOTE: Eyebrows will appear darker and bolder due to natural scabbing and healing for the first 10 days. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures.
Permanent makeup is NOT recommended for any clients who are or have:
•Pregnant or nursing
•Diabetic
•Undergoing Chemotherapy (consult your doctor)
•Viral infections and/or diseases
•Epilepsy
•A Pacemaker or major heart problems
